Buying HARK

Questions

What's the difference between Conservation and Pro?+

It's the same HARK hardware. Conservation pricing is for non-profit conservation, iwi and hapū, community, education and research use. Pro is for commercial and corporate buyers.

Is there an ongoing cost?+

Every HARK comes with its first year's model subscription included: 100 bird species, pest models and all data transfer, with models continually refined and updated. After 12 months it renews at $199 a year per device, plus GST — the same for Conservation and Pro. Add the Human Activity pack — people movement, vehicles, aircraft and drones, gunshots, chainsaws, and diggers and heavy machinery — for $99 a year per device, starting with your order.

Do prices include GST?+

Prices are shown excluding GST. GST at 15% is added at checkout for delivery within New Zealand. Orders shipped overseas are zero-rated.

Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?+

Yes. Use the enquiry form, tell us how many devices you need and we'll send a quote and invoice. You can also add a PO number when paying by card.

How many are available?+

Our first production batch is 300 HARKs. They're allocated first in, first served: your place in the queue is secured when you pay a deposit or pay in full, not when you start checkout.

Can we order more than 10?+

This first batch is limited to 10 HARKs per customer so more groups can take part. For larger deployments, send us an enquiry and we'll plan it with you from a later batch.

When will my device arrive?+

We're aiming to deliver the whole first batch by the end of January 2027, earlier where we can. Devices go out in queue order, and we'll email you tracking when yours ships.

Can I pay a deposit?+

Yes. Pay a 33% deposit at checkout to secure your place in the first batch, and the balance before your device ships. We'll email you when the balance is due. The deposit is fully refundable until dispatch.

Does HARK need internet to work?+

No. All classification happens on the device. When 4G or a mesh link is available, results sync to the cloud dashboard automatically.
