Terms of sale
These terms apply to HARK devices and subscriptions bought from this store. The seller is Slicify AI Limited. HARK devices will be delivered by either the 800 Trust, Aotearoa New Zealand, or a commercial entity set up in the future to manufacture HARKs.
The first batch, and delivery
HARK is in production. The first production batch is 300 devices, limited to 10 per customer. Devices are allocated first in, first served, in the order that payments (a deposit or payment in full) are received; starting checkout doesn't reserve a device. If the batch fills before your payment is received, we'll contact you and refund you in full if you prefer.
We aim to deliver the first batch by the end of January 2027, earlier where we can. If we haven't delivered your order by the end of March 2027, you can cancel for a full refund of everything you've paid. If you change your mind before your device is dispatched, contact us for a full refund.
The HARK subscription
The HARK subscription will be delivered by the 800 Trust or a future commercial entity set up by the HARK founders. Subscription payments are made to Slicify AI Limited.
Each device needs a HARK subscription, which covers the base bird and pest models and data transfer. The optional Human Activity pack (people movement, vehicles, aircraft and drones, gunshots, chainsaws, and diggers and heavy machinery) applies to every device on the order it's added to. The first 12 months of the base plan are included in the device price and start when your device ships; add-on packs are charged for their first year with your order. The subscription then renews every 12 months at the prices current at renewal; we'll remind you before it does, and you can cancel any time before the renewal date. If you don't renew, cloud sync, alerts and model updates stop at the end of the paid term.
Deposits
You can pay in full at checkout, or pay a 33% deposit to reserve your order and the balance before dispatch. We'll email you when the balance is due; your device ships once it's paid. The deposit is fully refundable until your device is dispatched.
Pricing and GST
Prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST. GST at 15% is added for delivery within New Zealand. Orders delivered outside New Zealand are zero-rated for GST; import duties and taxes in the destination country are the buyer's responsibility.
Conservation pricing
Conservation pricing is for non-profit conservation, iwi and hapū, community, education and research use. We may contact you about the project you describe at checkout, and may ask you to pay the difference to Pro pricing if the device is for commercial use.
Shipping
Shipping within New Zealand is included. International shipping is quoted and invoiced separately before dispatch.
Warranty and consumer law
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply. Where you are buying for business purposes, the parties agree the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply, to the extent permitted by law.
